Trip Report
The river starts off somewhat flat with only the speed of the flow any indicator of the rapids ahead.
The river maintains this flat characteristic as it passes through farm land, for approximately 1.5km before opening up into an expansive boulder garden. This boudler garden consists of 500m of grade two rapids passing various chutes. This series of rapids cuminates with a 2m grade 3 drop, which be be scouts from the bank on river right.
The river continues to meander, flucuating between small grade 2s and the occasional tree-lined chute. This continues for a further 2.5km until the main rapid of the river is encountered.
A grade 3, 4 in high water, river wide feature involving multiple large boulders provides for multiple possible routes, the easiest being on the left, getting harder the further right it is paddled. The rapid can be scouted on either side with copious flat water above the rapid.
The last maor rapid is encountered a further 500m downstream; a 3m high ledge. This can be bypassed by portaging on the right, however, can be easily run either on the right or centre with the portage route providing a great photo spot.
The remaining 3km is mostly flat, with moderate willow chocking for the final 1km. Depending on the height of the river, thefe may be some spots requring a quick portage around.
